Hunting Trip Details
Recommended calibre: Shotgun with slugs in calibre 12 or 20 is the only permitted weapon on this hunt.
These are new hunting areas for us, which we tested in January 2026! The hunt was very well organised, the drives were longer than in Europe but it worked perfectly. Expect 3-5 drives per day.
What was most surprising was that we only used dogs on one of the days; the drivers we used on the other days were the best we have ever used in any country – they were extremely skilled!
Our supplier is very professional and participates every day during the hunts, and the country surprises with its friendly culture and service attitude – absolutely excellent!
As always on driven hunts, not all drives are the same; in most of the drives we saw a good number of wild boar – during one drive on hunting day two, we saw more wild boar than ever, regardless of which country we compare it to, between 100-200 wild boar tumbled down the mountainsides, a fantastic experience that you might also get to experience next time (Never seen anything like it)
We shoot with shotguns and slugs; we borrow (free of charge) Turkish semi-automatic weapons with 5 rounds, made according to Benelli's Inertia system – they worked! On the first day, you will get to try your weapon, marked with your name, with different slugs. If you have one, we recommend bringing a red dot sight; we buy slugs locally.
Hunting begins from sunrise until sunset; you will experience seeing areas that tourists do not, we drive through small villages up into mountainous regions, and not least, you will experience hunting in large orange groves!
The hotel we stay at in Agadir (we fly direct) is excellent; it is centrally located in the city and is very suitable for us, but we choose to only include breakfast so that those who wish can choose one of the nearby local restaurants if they want dinner – the lunch we receive is like a dinner, so not always necessary but up to each individual.
In addition to experiencing an incredibly exciting hunt in Africa, we have included a day of sightseeing where local guides show us around everything from markets (large and fantastic) to sights around and in Agadir – here you combine a hunting trip with seeing and hearing about the history of this renowned country!
We recommend you try this; the group that tested the areas for us was genuinely enthusiastic, and everyone wanted to try the same hunt again!
We are driven out in vehicles, before taking up positions up/down along hillsides, usually, or in valleys with steep walls – the landscape is absolutely spectacular and must be experienced; the strange thing is that wild boar actually survive and thrive in these barren areas, and they do!
During the test hunt, the group of 9 hunters harvested 46 wild boar; there were, of course, quite a few misses as 219 slugs were fired, so as you can imagine, you need to be quick, but it's all the more fun!
Remember, the temperature there is superb – during the first period, you can expect 24-28 degrees, the second from 20-25 degrees, so we are talking about a fine Norwegian summer here. PS. We CAN send larger groups, but have chosen to use a small group of 11 plus our tour leader for the most pleasant social hunt – that is a perfect number!
We have two groups travelling there; the test hunt was in January, and next year's hunt in January will be earlier to allow hunting in the orange groves so as not to conflict with the harvest!
